Isn't this lace pattern gorgeous????? I really love it......this pattern is from Cast On Magazine......Feb-April 2008 issue page 16.......several ladies and i started this one together.....as you see.....it is not yet completed........working on it slowly......it is one of these i started this summer and have worked several project in between........i hope to soon be able to show the final product.....I am determined to start sewing this week.......i was also determined last week......hope to live up to my word this week........guess you will find out soon......i will have to post as soon as i sew...........wish me luck...................

Real Home Spun Wool

I knitted these two little purses this weekend. One on Sunday and the other one on Monday.

This wool was spun by a friend of mine. She gave me a sample of her spinning and let me have the opportunity to make something. Isn't that so great....I am thinking of felting the larger purse.....or the smaller one....hmmmmm....what do you think.....the little one would make a great cell phone or ipod holder....wouldn't you agree..... It is so cool how one side is pink & blue and the other side blue & teal...I flipped them both over to let you see how the color works....the smaller is not as noticeable until you look at the handle...Great color combinations. Thank you so much for my yarn.......I didn't use a pattern.....just sat down and started knitting.

We had a Fiber Extravaganza at A Row of Purls this weekend. It was great. Being able to pick our the colors that you wanted to combine to make your own yarn. My daughter couldn't help herself she wanted to create her own colors also. As soon as I get it spun I will knit it up and let you see what it grew up to be...and see how well she combines her own colors. She tickled me wanting to get involved. We will be having a spinning class soon, the 12th and 26th of July. That will be fun.

This pattern I picked up from Knitty.com the name of the pattern is Monica. I used King Tut cotton yarn. I used two skeins. One each of my colors. I cast on my stitches on Monday finished the top on Friday. Have to love quick projects. Now I have to make another for my 9 year old..she loves her sisters new top.

Wine Bottle Cozy

Isn't this so cool....Great gift idea......give a bottle of wine or what ever would fit.....this is actually a bottle of syrup that i use to make my coffee...............COFFEE.......i did it now.....i said it i have to have one.....its and addiction...kind of like knitting.......got to have more and more and more....can you own too much yarn? I dont think so......yarn is fun......i have one tattoo..a frog and a butterfly sitting on a stick of bamboo....i love frogs too and my daughter asked me to add the butterfly......awwww..so i had to....trying to come up with a cool idea for a sheep/yarn tattoo.......think i have come up with one....will try to draw a picture......next step...convincing the husband...lol
This pattern came from the One Skein Wonders book by Judith Durant.....There are a lot of great ideas in her book....I have to post the tank i made........coming soon...another project from One Skein Wonders.............

Helmet Hat & Gauntlets

Yeahhhhh......another project completed......I only have five projects currently on needles......Three sweaters, a pair of socks, and a scarf...I think that is all i have on needles...LOL....the list of projects never end..............love to knit......got some great summer ideas....several tank tops that i want to do....for me and for my kids.....so much yarn..........so little time
This was knitted with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. I get all my yarn from A Row of Purls in Stedman....www.arowofpurls.com....great selection of specialty yarns. I created that patterns for the guantlets by combining two patterns together......i like the thumb of one pattern and the cable of another so i rewrote it to create a new pattern. I also added a pom pom to the tops of the hats, why didnt i take the picture then? Who knows......we are crazy like that sometimes....LOL

My itsy bitsy sock..........made with wildfoote from brown sheep....rock N roll is the color....child size.......this fits my 20 mth old........maybe oneday there will be a second sock....hahaha.....wish me luck......some where among my 500 projects tucked away in my mind will be the time to finish this pair ..........lol ...........lol

Yum Yum.....everyone loves cupcakes.....too bad we cant eat this one...not to say my daughter hasnt tried....LOL

I saw this pattern in the One Skein book.....had to try it out....it was fun......only took me a couple hours to make.....i used size 5 needles.....circular believe it or not.....size 12"....of course i did have to change to doublepoints for my decrease....i had to try out the needles as well.....sure was a small cord i knew i wanted to make something with them......maybe i will try socks on them one day

My first hat..so cool looking......think it has an antique look to it.....this was so much fun...when i was done i made up the purse on my own......cool looking yarn from Yarncloud

I plan on making another one at some point with Alpaca....i am sure it will look completly different....will post when i finally get it done.....

Knitters........we have so many ongoing projects whether they are on needles or just in our head......we stay busy
